With over 1000 fabric choices in our vertical blinds collection at Blinds & Awnings, we are confident that you will fall in love with many of our designs, whilst finding something that matches the interior design of your home too. Blinds & Awnings is a firm favourite in the local area of Surrey and Berkshire, serving homes across Camberley, Wokingham and other surrounding areas.

There are three ranges of vertical blinds offered here at Blinds & Awnings; the Luxaflex range, the Louvolite fabric range, and the Eclipse fabric range. Both have a vast range of shades and patterns, from the understated designs such as the Carnival China White to the more statement blinds, like Liberty Azure. There are also an enormous range of fabric types to choose from including flame retardant, moisture resistant, antibacterial, washable, black out and many more varieties.

Safety for you and your family

If you are looking for vertical blinds that are child friendly, we stock a range of designs which include wipeable vinyl vanes to remove all traces of grubby fingerprints, whilst still maintaining a high standard of quality and appearance.

When choosing vertical blinds, safety is of the utmost importance particularly if you are in a home with young children. As a registered BBSA member, we are committed to the Make It Safe campaign and always recommend our customers invest in blinds that comply with the new regulations. Some of our designs are made without an operating cord whilst others have concealed or tensioned cords. If you do purchase blinds that function with a chain, by law, we may be obliged to install a safety device or adjust the chain length to comply with the new European standards. Taking these precautions will help to ensure the safety of children at home and here at Blinds and Awnings, we take our responsibility to carry out these procedures very seriously.

Our team have the most up to date information on this topic so if you wish to discuss the range of safe blind designs we offer, or any of our products or services, don’t hesitate to contact one of our team who will be more than happy to assist you in your enquiry.

How to clean Awnings?

  1. Make sure your awning is fully retracted into their protective cassettes after every use.
  2. To clean an Awning, first ensure that the fabric is fully extended. Use a mix of warm water and detergent-free soap as well as a microfibre cloth to gently wipe the Awning clean; Then allow time for the fabric to dry completely. We recommend cleaning your Awning at least twice a year; Once before using it in the summer and again before you’ve rolled it up for winter, we also recommend wiping the metal components and fittings twice a year with a soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water.
  3. Tackle stubborn stains by using a specialist fabric stain remover or mild detergent and make sure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions closely. Test a modest area of your awning fabric first if you’re in any doubt.
  4. Please don't use a pressure washer or bleach It will quickly damage the structure of the fabric.

Can Awning Be Used in Winter?

  1. Our awnings are water resistant and can handle light rain just fine; But they are not designed to withstand some of the more extreme conditions in winter such as heavy rain, wind and snow.
  2. We recommend minimal use of the Awning throughout winter
  3. we also recommend removing the decorative fabric valance and storing it somewhere dry until the warmer weather returns.

Are Awnings Wind and rainproof?

  1. Although water resistant and durable, our retractable Awnings are not designed for heavy rain as this can pool on the fabric and substantially increase the Awning’s weight.
  2. We strongly recommend leaving the Awning fully retracted on windy days or during heavy rainfall.
