Discover an innovative way to control light, temperature, privacy and airflow with made-to-measure Blind Screen™ in Crowthorne and Sandhurst, Berkshire.

At Blinds and Awnings UK Ltd, we are delighted to offer two innovative Blind Screen™ solutions: a 100% blackout system and a European-style flyscreen. Both systems are designed to fit seamlessly into a variety of window openings while providing a stylish, practical and discreet finish.

Whether you want complete darkness for better sleep or fresh airflow without unwanted insects entering your home, Blind Screen™ provides a versatile solution for modern homes.

What Is Blind Screen™?

Blind Screen™ is an innovative framed screening system designed to fit neatly within your window recess.

The system combines practical performance with a clean, contemporary appearance and can be made to measure to suit your individual window openings.

There are two main Blind Screen™ solutions available:

  • Light-Seal Blind Screen™ – a 100% blackout solution
  • Breeze-In Blind Screen™ – a European-style flyscreen solution

Both options can be operated with a simple handle pull and can be configured with left, right or split-draw gathering, depending on the application.

100% Blackout Blind Screen™

For bedrooms, home cinemas and other areas where complete darkness is important, Blind Screen™ Light-Seal Honeycomb Fabrics provide an effective blackout solution.

The system is framed within the window recess to minimise light gaps, helping create an exceptionally dark environment.

A range of fabric colours is available, allowing you to choose a finish that complements your interior.

Ideal for:

  • Bedrooms
  • Children's bedrooms
  • Guest rooms
  • Home cinemas
  • Rooms requiring complete privacy
  • Windows exposed to strong sunlight

Honeycomb Blind Screen™ for Thermal Performance

The Blind Screen™ system incorporates Honeycomb technology, creating air pockets within the fabric.

This cellular structure can help reduce heat transfer through the window, helping to retain warmth during winter and reduce the effect of solar heat during summer.

This can contribute to a more comfortable indoor environment and may help reduce the demand for heating and cooling.

The thermal performance will depend on the selected fabric, glazing and individual installation.

Breeze-In Flyscreen

The Breeze-In Flyscreen provides an excellent way to enjoy fresh air while helping prevent insects from entering your home.

The European-style flyscreen uses specialist Breeze-In fabrics, allowing airflow through the screen while providing an effective barrier against unwanted insects.

It is particularly useful during warmer months when you want to open your windows without compromising comfort.

Enjoy Airflow Without the Insects

With Breeze-In Blind Screen™, you can open your windows and enjoy natural airflow while helping to keep flies and other insects outside.

This makes it an ideal solution for:

  • Bedrooms
  • Kitchens
  • Living rooms
  • Dining areas
  • Conservatories
  • Garden-facing windows
  • Rooms requiring additional ventilation

Simple Handle-Pull Operation

Blind Screen™ is designed for straightforward everyday operation.

The screen can be operated using a simple handle pull, with options for:

  • Left-hand gathering
  • Right-hand gathering
  • Split-draw gathering

The simple operating system makes Blind Screen™ easy to use while maintaining its clean and unobtrusive appearance.

  2. To clean an Awning, first ensure that the fabric is fully extended. Use a mix of warm water and detergent-free soap as well as a microfibre cloth to gently wipe the Awning clean; Then allow time for the fabric to dry completely. We recommend cleaning your Awning at least twice a year; Once before using it in the summer and again before you’ve rolled it up for winter, we also recommend wiping the metal components and fittings twice a year with a soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water.
  3. Tackle stubborn stains by using a specialist fabric stain remover or mild detergent and make sure you follow the manufacturer’s instructions closely. Test a modest area of your awning fabric first if you’re in any doubt.
  4. Please don't use a pressure washer or bleach It will quickly damage the structure of the fabric.

Can Awning Be Used in Winter?

  1. Our awnings are water resistant and can handle light rain just fine; But they are not designed to withstand some of the more extreme conditions in winter such as heavy rain, wind and snow.
  2. We recommend minimal use of the Awning throughout winter
  3. we also recommend removing the decorative fabric valance and storing it somewhere dry until the warmer weather returns.

Are Awnings Wind and rainproof?

  1. Although water resistant and durable, our retractable Awnings are not designed for heavy rain as this can pool on the fabric and substantially increase the Awning’s weight.
  2. We strongly recommend leaving the Awning fully retracted on windy days or during heavy rainfall.
