Based in Crowthorne, Berkshire, we manufacture many of our blinds in our own workshop and provide a professional measuring and fitting service across Berkshire and surrounding areas, including Wokingham, Bracknell, Camberley, Reading, Ascot, Windsor, Maidenhead, Yateley, Farnborough and Fleet.

Free, no-obligation quotations are available.

Why Choose Made to Measure Pleated Blinds?

Pleated blinds offer a sleek and contemporary alternative to traditional window blinds. Their compact design and clean lines make them suitable for a wide variety of windows, while the extensive choice of fabrics allows you to create the look and level of light control you require.

Unlike off-the-shelf blinds, made to measure pleated blinds are manufactured specifically for your windows, helping to provide a precise fit and professional finish.

Our experienced team can advise you on:

  • A wide choice of pleated fabrics and colours
  • Light-filtering and translucent fabrics
  • Blackout pleated blinds
  • Thermal and energy-efficient fabrics
  • Honeycomb and cellular pleated blinds
  • Perfect Fit pleated blinds
  • Pleated blinds for UPVC windows
  • Pleated blinds for bi-fold doors
  • Pleated blinds for conservatories
  • Pleated blinds for roof windows and skylights
  • Child-safe operating systems
  • Manual and motorised options
  • Different opening and operating configurations

Whether you need one bespoke blind or pleated blinds throughout your home, we can help you choose the right solution.

Thermal and Energy-Efficient Pleated Blinds

One of the key benefits of pleated blinds is their potential to improve the thermal performance of your windows.

Thermal pleated blinds and honeycomb-style fabrics feature a specialist construction designed to create additional insulating air pockets between the room and the window.

This can help reduce heat loss through windows during colder months while also helping to control excessive solar heat during warmer weather.

Our team can recommend suitable thermal fabrics depending on the type of window, orientation of the room and level of light control you require.

For homeowners looking to make their rooms more comfortable and improve the efficiency of their window coverings, energy-efficient pleated blinds are an excellent option.

Honeycomb Pleated Blinds

Honeycomb blinds, also known as cellular blinds, feature a distinctive cellular construction that creates air pockets within the fabric.

This construction can provide additional insulation while maintaining the clean, elegant appearance associated with pleated blinds.

Honeycomb pleated blinds are particularly useful in bedrooms, living rooms, conservatories and other areas where temperature control and comfort are important.

Available in a variety of colours and fabric options, they can provide an attractive combination of style, privacy, light control and thermal performance.

Perfect Fit Pleated Blinds

For UPVC windows, doors and other suitable applications, Perfect Fit pleated blinds provide a neat and discreet window covering solution.

Perfect Fit systems clip into the window frame without requiring traditional fixing to the wall or window recess. This makes them particularly useful for UPVC windows and doors where you want the blind to sit neatly within the glazing area.

They are also an excellent option for bi-fold doors, allowing the blinds to move with the individual door panels.

Our team can assess your windows and doors and advise whether a Perfect Fit pleated blind is suitable for your requirements.

Pleated Blinds for Bi-Fold Doors

Large areas of glazing and bi-fold doors can be challenging to dress, particularly when you want to retain easy access and the flexibility to open individual door panels.

Pleated blinds for bi-fold doors provide a practical solution, with options that can sit neatly within the individual sections of the glazing.

Perfect Fit pleated blinds are particularly popular for bi-fold doors because the blind remains attached to the individual panel as the door is opened and closed.

We can measure your bi-fold doors and recommend a suitable pleated blind system based on the configuration of your doors.

Pleated Blinds for Conservatories

Conservatories can become uncomfortable when exposed to strong sunlight during the summer and can lose heat during colder weather.

Pleated blinds for conservatories can provide an attractive way to manage sunlight, privacy and temperature.

Their clean appearance works particularly well within conservatory spaces, while thermal fabrics can provide an additional layer between the glazing and the room.

Whether you need pleated blinds for conservatory windows, doors or roof sections, our made to measure service allows us to create a bespoke solution for your space.

Pleated Roof Blinds and Skylight Blinds

Roof windows and skylights can bring beautiful natural light into your home but can also create excessive sunlight, glare and heat.

Our pleated roof blinds and skylight blinds provide a practical way to control incoming daylight while creating a stylish finish.

Made to measure roof pleated blinds can be manufactured to suit the dimensions of your windows, helping to provide a neat and professional appearance.

Our team can advise on suitable fabrics and operating systems for roof windows, skylights and other angled glazing.

Blackout Pleated Blinds

For bedrooms, children's rooms and other areas where controlling daylight is important, blackout pleated blinds can be an excellent choice.

Blackout fabrics are designed to significantly reduce incoming light and provide greater privacy, helping to create a darker and more comfortable environment.

They are particularly useful for bedrooms and roof windows where direct sunlight can otherwise be a problem.

Choose from a wide range of colours and fabric finishes to complement your interior while achieving the level of light control you require.

Privacy and Light Control

Pleated blinds offer excellent flexibility when controlling natural light and privacy.

Depending on the fabric selected, you can filter daylight, reduce glare or significantly reduce incoming light with blackout materials.

Different operating configurations also allow you to position the blind exactly where you need it, making pleated blinds particularly useful for windows where privacy or sunlight changes throughout the day.

Our team can help you choose the most suitable configuration for each room.

Motorised Pleated Blinds

For selected applications, we can also provide motorised pleated blind solutions.

Motorisation is particularly useful for hard-to-reach windows, roof windows, skylights and large areas of glazing where manual operation may be inconvenient.

Depending on the system selected, motorised blinds can provide convenient control at the touch of a button and may also be integrated into a smart-home system.

Our team can advise you on the available options and whether motorisation is suitable for your windows.

Use a mix of warm water and detergent-free soap as well as a microfibre cloth to gently wipe the Awning clean; Then allow time for the fabric to dry completely. We recommend cleaning your Awning at least twice a year; Once before using it in the summer and again before you’ve rolled it up for winter, we also recommend wiping the metal components and fittings twice a year with a soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water.

Can Awning Be Used in Winter?

  1. Our awnings are water resistant and can handle light rain just fine; But they are not designed to withstand some of the more extreme conditions in winter such as heavy rain, wind and snow.
  2. We recommend minimal use of the Awning throughout winter
  3. we also recommend removing the decorative fabric valance and storing it somewhere dry until the warmer weather returns.

Are Awnings Wind and rainproof?

  1. Although water resistant and durable, our retractable Awnings are not designed for heavy rain as this can pool on the fabric and substantially increase the Awning’s weight.
  2. We strongly recommend leaving the Awning fully retracted on windy days or during heavy rainfall.
