Based in Crowthorne, Berkshire, we provide professional measuring and fitting services across Berkshire and surrounding areas, including Wokingham, Bracknell, Camberley, Reading, Ascot, Windsor, Maidenhead, Yateley, Farnborough and Fleet.

Our team can assess your roof windows and recommend a suitable blind based on the room, window position and level of light control you require.

Blinds for VELUX Roof Windows

VELUX roof window blinds are designed to work with roof windows and skylights.

The right blind can make a significant difference to the comfort and appearance of a room.

Depending on your requirements, we can help you choose between different blind types, fabrics and operating options.

Whether your priority is blackout, privacy, glare reduction, heat control or appearance, our team can help you find the right solution.

VELUX Blackout Blinds

Bedrooms and children's rooms often require effective blackout.

VELUX blackout blinds can significantly reduce incoming daylight and are an excellent option for rooms where you want a darker environment.

They are particularly suitable for:

  • Bedrooms
  • Children's bedrooms
  • Guest bedrooms
  • Loft bedrooms
  • Home cinema areas
  • Rooms used for sleeping during the daytime

Choose from a range of colours and finishes to coordinate your blackout blind with the rest of your interior.

VELUX Blinds for Loft Conversions

Loft conversions can benefit enormously from roof windows, providing natural light and ventilation to areas that may otherwise feel dark.

However, roof windows can also receive strong sunlight, particularly during the summer.

VELUX blinds for loft conversions allow you to control daylight and privacy while maintaining the benefits of your roof windows.

Our team can advise on suitable blinds for:

  • Loft bedrooms
  • Home offices
  • Children's rooms
  • Dressing rooms
  • Bathrooms
  • Open-plan loft spaces

VELUX Blinds for Bedrooms

Roof windows are increasingly popular in bedrooms, particularly in loft conversions.

Blackout VELUX blinds for bedrooms can help create a darker and more comfortable sleeping environment.

They also provide privacy where roof windows overlook neighbouring properties or elevated areas.

Our team can advise on blackout and light-filtering options depending on how much daylight you want to retain.

VELUX Blinds for Children's Bedrooms

Children's bedrooms can benefit from effective light control.

Blackout roof window blinds can help reduce daylight during early mornings and summer evenings.

We can also advise on appropriate operating systems and child-safe options for your particular installation.

VELUX Blinds for Home Offices

Roof windows can provide excellent natural light in a home office, but direct sunlight can create unwanted glare on computer screens.

VELUX blinds for home offices allow you to manage incoming daylight throughout the day.

A suitable light-filtering or glare-reducing blind can help create a more comfortable working environment while retaining natural daylight.

VELUX Blinds for Bathrooms

Roof windows are popular in bathrooms because they provide natural light while maintaining a degree of privacy.

However, bathrooms require careful consideration when choosing a blind because of moisture and humidity.

Our team can advise on suitable VELUX blinds for bathrooms based on the individual window and environment.

VELUX Blinds for Kitchens

Kitchen roof windows can provide valuable natural light, particularly in extensions and open-plan kitchen spaces.

VELUX blinds for kitchens can help control glare and sunlight while adding a stylish finishing touch.

Our team can advise on suitable fabrics and operating systems based on the position of the roof window.

VELUX Blinds for Living Rooms

Roof windows can create an impressive architectural feature in a living room or extension.

A suitable blind allows you to control sunlight and glare while maintaining the appearance of the roof window.

Choose from a range of colours and finishes to complement your furniture and interior décor.

VELUX Thermal Blinds

Roof windows can receive significant levels of direct sunlight.

Thermal VELUX blinds can provide an additional layer between the room and the glazing and may help improve comfort by reducing the effect of direct sunlight.

Depending on the blind and fabric selected, thermal properties can vary.

Our team can discuss suitable options if heat and solar control are important considerations for your room.

Manual VELUX Blinds

For easily accessible roof windows, manual blinds can provide a simple and reliable solution.

Depending on the window position, the blind can be operated by hand.

Manual blinds are particularly suitable where the roof window is within easy reach.

Electric & Motorised VELUX Blinds

For roof windows that are high up or difficult to reach, electric VELUX blinds can provide convenient operation.

Motorisation can be particularly useful for:

  • High-level roof windows
  • Multiple roof windows
  • Loft conversions
  • Large roof glazing
  • Hard-to-reach windows
  • Smart-home installations

Depending on the system selected, motorised blinds can be operated using a remote control or compatible control system.

Our team can advise on the available motorised options for your roof windows.

Solar-Powered VELUX Blind Options

For suitable roof windows, solar-powered blind options can provide convenient operation without requiring conventional electrical wiring.

This can be particularly useful for existing roof windows where installing new wiring may be impractical.

Our team can discuss the available options and confirm suitability for your particular roof window.

VELUX Blinds for Hard-to-Reach Windows

Some roof windows are positioned high above the floor or furniture, making manual operation inconvenient.

In these situations, electric or motorised roof window blinds can provide a much more practical solution.

Our team can assess the accessibility of your windows and recommend a suitable operating system.

Use a mix of warm water and detergent-free soap as well as a microfibre cloth to gently wipe the Awning clean; Then allow time for the fabric to dry completely. We recommend cleaning your Awning at least twice a year; Once before using it in the summer and again before you’ve rolled it up for winter, we also recommend wiping the metal components and fittings twice a year with a soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water.

Can Awning Be Used in Winter?

  1. Our awnings are water resistant and can handle light rain just fine; But they are not designed to withstand some of the more extreme conditions in winter such as heavy rain, wind and snow.
  2. We recommend minimal use of the Awning throughout winter
  3. we also recommend removing the decorative fabric valance and storing it somewhere dry until the warmer weather returns.

Are Awnings Wind and rainproof?

  1. Although water resistant and durable, our retractable Awnings are not designed for heavy rain as this can pool on the fabric and substantially increase the Awning’s weight.
  2. We strongly recommend leaving the Awning fully retracted on windy days or during heavy rainfall.
